Pahrump Community Church has a food pantry for the less fortunate that is open Mondays,Thursdays and Fridays from 9:30 to 11:30 . The church is located at 1061 E Wilson (at West St).

Tractor Supply and Never Forgotten Animal Society invite you to fall in love with a new furry friend. Every third Saturday of the month from 8 to 2.

The Dawg House Rescuers holds a micro-chip clinic every second Saturday of the month at Tractor Supply from 9 to 1.

Pahrump Valley United Methodist Church is now open on Mondays from 9 to 11 and Tuesdays from 4 to 6 PM. You may attend either day one time per week.

Nevada Outreach Training needs volunteers to work in their office and also drivers to pick up and deliver donations. For more information call Jessica at 775-751-1118 X109.

Home Depot hosts a free kids workshop on the first Saturday of every month from 9 to noon. Each child can bring home a newly constructed project, a kid’s apron, achievement pin, and a certificate while supplies last. Register your child at www.homedepot.com/workshops. Get there early to make sure your child receives a kit.

DAV transportation is now available to the VA Hospital at 6900 Pecos in North Las Vegas. Rides available Monday through Friday for appointments 8 AM to 4 PM. Call 702-423-4885 to schedule your ride.

The DAV is desperately seeking volunteer drivers. No special driver’s license is required and you drive DAV vehicles and you decide how much time you want to volunteer. You will drive to various places in Pahrump and Las Vegas. If interested please call Darwin at 702-423-4885 Monday – Friday 8 to 4.

Pahrump Gunfighters are looking for new members they meet the first Saturday of the month at the Library at 10 AM. For more information call 775-751-3458.

The private well owners association hosts free classes the first Wednesday of every month at 10 AM at the Pahrump Museum on Basin Avenue.

Nye County is now recruiting Emergency Medical Techs and other volunteers opportunities. No previous experience is necessary and training is provided. For more information call 775-764-1626.

Knit Wits meets on the first and third Wednesday of the month from 1 to 3 at Faith Fellowship Church at 2190 N Blagg Rd. Free lessons in knitting, crocheting and looming led by Laura Leiker.

Never Forgotten Animal Society  needs volunteers to help clean kennels Monday thru Sunday from 7:30 to 11:00. For more information call Pat at 775-764-9070.


Nye County Juvenile Probation Office has re-located to 2765 Mt Charleston Drive.


Basic IRS tax booklets and forms are available at the main Post Office during business hours. Stand in line as if mailing a package then ask the clerk for the forms you need.

 COMMUNITY DATES

  • March 21st – 23rd: Is the annual Chili Cookoff at Petrick Park. Grab the family bring your friends and let the chili games begin. This year’s cook off will benefit the PV Kiwanis Club and Saint Jude Ranch. Live music, carnival rides, games, raffles and contests.
  • March 21st: Is Nye Treasure’s Trust Live Auction starting at 9 AM at the County Commission’s Chambers. Please visit the Live Auction webpage for complete information and updates.
  • March 28th: Is the Social Services Fair hosted by Nye County Health and Human Services at the Nugget between 9 and 2. Everyone is invited to be a part of this Community Event.
  • March 29th & 30th: Pleasant Valley HOA is hosting their 2nd community garage sale.

2025 Fall Festival – September 25th – 28th.
The town of Pahrump is now accepting vender applications till August 15th on a first come first serve basis


RSVP hosts “Friends Day Out/Java Music Club” at the Nye Community Coalition at 1020 East Wilson Ave on Thursdays from 11:30 to 1:30. This event provides music, conversation and fun for both those suffering with dementia and their caregivers. The events are free but do bring a sack lunch or snack.
